Fundraising

SATA continues fundraising activities throughout the year. The funds that we raise are used to help students to participate in various educational events that support our preparation to become art therapy counselors. In addition, the funds are also used to organize events that educate and raise awareness about the benefit of art therapy to the general public and greater community.

What we used the fund for:
American Art Therapy Association Annual Conference
Students participate in the annual conference each year to exchange information, present latest developments in art therapy and share excitements about people and projects that art therapists are involved in.

2012 Annual Conference:
The American Art Therapy Association’s 43rd Annual Conference will be held in Savannah, GA on July 9-13, 2012.

Fall Conferences:
SATA invites a different professional in the art therapy field each year as a guest to present a free lecture to anyone in the community and conduct workshops for SATA members. Students take the leadership, selecting and planning for guest lecturers, designing, and carrying out all aspects of the annual fall conference.
